Mr Javaid has produced many publications covering different aspects of his work. He is actively involved in teaching junior doctors in plastic surgery, local GPs and patient groups. He regularly attends plastic surgery meetings and workshops to keep his knowledge and skills up to date with cutting edge innovations, evolving techniques and technologies.

His is also educational supervisor for plastic surgery trainees, clinical lead for infection control of the specialist surgery directorate at the Lister Hospital, and clinical lead for infection control at the BMI the Manor Hospital in Biddenham Bedford.
